Conficker worm , also known as Downup, Downadup and Kido, is a computer worm targeting the Microsoft Windows operating system that was first detected in November 2008. The worm uses a combination of advanced malware techniques which has made it difficult to counter, and has since spread rapidly into what is now believed to be the largest computer worm infection since the 2003 SQL Slammer.

A Stanford university team has developed software that studies what is called the protein folding. Basically it is something good, but when a misfolding occurs, many diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington’s, Parkinson’s disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes will occur.

What you need to understand is that simulating and studying this protein folding thing requires a lot of computation power, that’s where you (The hero) come in. you will share some of your mighty processor cycles to do some calculations for the main software and upload the results to it.
