Fix corrupted or missing hair in The Sims3

sims hair

Let me guess, you have  a stat of the art ATI  graphics card and you are shocked by the corrupted or transparent geometries in “The Sims3″ specially the characters hair.

The reason is a malfunction in your graphics card’s “Adaptive anti-aliasing “. Open Catalyst control center and disable “Adaptive anti-aliasing”.

This same features caused a similar problem with Velvet assassin that I discussed before .

You can also read about the ATI driver and some of my thoughts about it here

Radeon Catalyst and display driver 9.6 NEW

ex_08apr_dmm_radeon4890_gameA new driver is released for almost all recent Radeon display adapters. The following improvements are announced with this new driver

  • Company of Heroes – performance improves up to 25% with HD 4600 series products and below as well as improvements of up to 10% on HD 4800 series
  • Crysis – performance improves up to 13% in multi-GPU configurations
  • Crysis Warhead – performance improves up to 11% in multi-GPU configurations
  • World in Conflict – performance improvements of up to 30% can be seen in settings
    that were previously CPU limited

Also, some crashes and problems with the CCC has been fixed.

This is all great, but now in a time where AMD (ATI) cards are considered better than their equivalents in nVidia, I think it is time for AMD to stand up for the challenge and fix embarrassing bugs such as:

  • 3D graphics corruption in many games with Adaptive anti-aliasing enabled.
  • Games crash on minimize and resolution changes.
  • funny looking effects.
  • Buggy deinterlacing that actually make movies interlaced (scan-line effect)
  • V-sinc does not know when to turn on or off

AMD (ATI) must work more with the developers and do more “Best played on Radeon” games. Also it is time to flood the market with DirectX 10.1 games, since no nVidia cards already supports it. and I’m not talking about crappy games such as Stormrise.

Radeon card are strong but I feel that this miss a Strong software support.

The Cheapest unlimited webhosting on the internet

I found this new host that made feel ripped off  $5.9 a month with my current host.

They have unlimited bandwidth to unlimited space for unlimited domains. I already have all of that but price here is only 1.99 $/month

It’s true that it is  relatively new, I know for sure that it has been out there for a year or more and it is still trying to find a place between the “monsters”.

I know a couple of websites hosted there and they are doing pretty fine.

This hosting service’s name is http://www.webhostingpad.com

I don’t know about you but I think that I found my next web host. It is rare to actually find a good service that is still selling way too cheap just for promotion. Really; don’t let it go.

In case you are wondering, yes the likes here are affiliate links and you will be helping out a little if you go there and subscribe, but at the same time, I’m note selling you crap! go there and see for your self

First I want to give credits to the author of the tutorial Learn AJAX in 20 mins that I improved  to be less complicated and noob friendly :)

AJAX stands for (as if you would remember it) Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. and it is used to send and receive data from the server without having to refresh the entire page.

I assume you have a basic knowledge of HTML and PHP.

Naruto shippuuden filler is over!

Finally, the Naruto shippuuden filler (The three tails arc) is over!

Naruto shippuuden fillerNaruto shippuuden filler

Starting from episode 113, the anime returned to the point where it took a different turn than the manga, right when Kabuto was preparing a new medicine for Uruchimaru, creating a deja-vu situation with the older episode where the filler was pushed into the storyline at the same exact scene.

By the way not everyone knows that the entire three tails arc was a filler! unless you have read the manga, this story can pass by you as if it was part of the real story.

Anyway I think that the Manga is much more entertaining, the naruto shippuden anime graphics crew is not as good as it was in the previousseasons of naruto, plus, the anime features a lot of  chatter and flashbacks which can be boring and very long.

For me, I will stick with the manga, I find it to be much more entertaining, it’s the original thing nothis more nothing less. How about you? manga or anime? did you fall for the three tails arc filler? if you were to change one thing in the anime. what would it be?

shadow-copiesThere is a small life saving utility that comes with windows vista, you can use it if you have overwritten or modified an important document by mistake.

To restore the previous correct version of the document right click the modified document and select “Restore previous versions”. Allow windows a couple of minutes to lookup “shadow” copies of the file. select one of the discovered shadow copies then hit “copy” at the bottom of the window, save the original copy of the document somewhere else.

That’s it, you saved your job
