Hi, you must have noticed the Pacman game that Google pleaced in the logo area on Google.com

In case you are wondering, this is not a flash game, as a matter of fact this is simply a PNG picture that is being maniplated by a java script

The Java script that is running the games is located here http://www.google.com/logos/js/pacman10-hp.3.js

Now, let’s pull some strings and try to link the game to this page…

FAILED, I’m not yet able to port the game here without copying it :( any Ideas?

This couple of email have passed all the spam filters  on my  companies server and outlook. obviously, the senders domain is forged and these email did not originate from google or hallmark (I read the same email is using Twiiter and hi5 domains too).

These emails come with an exe inside a zip file, can you guess what it is? anyone? yes it is a virus.

The virus is detected as W32.SillyFDC.BDJ by Norton antivirus, and according to them it is a worm that is able to compromise Windows 98, Windows 95, Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows Vista, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000

unless you are looking for trouble, delete this email, and every other email that has an exe attached.

If you have recieved a simillar email from another source please indicate it

Use Opera unite to access thousands of shared music and video files

November 30, 2009 by PsMan · Leave a Comment

If you don’t know what is Opera Unite, then you can read some more about it here or visit the official website here

Today we will discuss how to use Google to access the media and data files that other Opera unite users are sharing after their permission to have their shared files indexable by Google.

To keep things simple I will set a few links that will give you direct access to Google search results.

1. Streaming music files
2.Streaming Video, Audio, and downloadable PDFs
3. Any shared files.

4. Shared Pictures

5.  Acess to self hosted websites click repeat the search with the omitted results included. to show all results.

Clicking  repeat the search with the omitted results included. will increase the number of results because Google tends to assume that multiple results are repeated.

Some of the results you will try to access will be offline, this means that the computer hosting the application is currently off, or Opera is not running.

Please carful while accessing self hosted website, there is no way to know the kind of material that can be hosted there. Also do not download suspesious or pirated apps from other’s computers, this can be very dangerous.

To have your opera services indexed by Google and publicly accessible, do the following.
1. register with opera unite and prepare all the application you want to share.
2. Right click each of the applications that you will be sharing and select properties.

sharing is caring3. click on the advanced settings arrow, then check “make application visible to search engines”.

4. If you wish for your files to be publicly viewable, please remove the password protection. to do so open the admin tab of the application that you sharing and click “Public” then save your settings.

sharing is caring 2 that’s it!

It’s of course obvious that your internet bandwidth will be affected if you are sharing huge files that are publicly accessible, and let’s not neglect the risk of virus infection if you were smart enough to open a publicly accessible “File Inbox”

Please do not do illegal stuff with the info provided here. Opera gave us a good thing, let’s not ruin it!

Feel free to post your Opera unite applications links (and passes if any) here.

these webinars will discuss google adsense uses and optimization. here is a copy ofthe invitation letter I got:

Hello publisher,

The AdSense Team will host a series of webinars over the coming
months. At our webinars we’ll show you how you can grow your
AdSense revenue in a range of ways, for example by:

- using Google Analytics to identify which pages require
optimisation
- making simple changes to your ad implementation
- using Google Ad Manager to backfill your unsold directly-sold ad
inventory with AdSense, and having AdSense compete with your other
ad networks

At each webinar you will also have the opportunity to consult an
AdSense specialist.

For more information or to register for a webinar, see

https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=22045&sct=20091014-411.

Sincerely,
Siobhan

I registered for” AdSense Optimisation – Everything you need to know “.

To attend the webinar you will need  WMP, Quick time, or just the Flash player 6. and you need to be a Google publisher I think.

Google Wave

What is Google Wave?

Google Wave is a product that helps users communicate and collaborate on the web. A “wave” is equal parts conversation and document, where users can almost instantly communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more. Google Wave is also a platform with a rich set of open APIs that allow developers to embed waves in other web services and to build extensions that work inside waves.

For more information about Google Wave, please visit wave.google.com.

source: Google code

not much info about it yet, but as I get it, it is a new open source protocol, this protocol is used to create extensions or embed interactive contents to an existing blog or website.

The big Idea as I see it is to create a communication protocol that allows different social networks, blogging platforms, and other interactive application to exchange data freely and safely.

The project is still in development stage but you can always apply to get access to a sandbox for developers. I am a programmer my self but I dont have the gut to participate in such a worldwide event.

It is decided after I watched the keynote presentation video I’m on fire to join, I just applied for sandbox access, wish me luck!

I don’t know about you but I feel that when this project is done, it will change the face of internet interactivity as we know it. what do you think? wavelogo
