[ad#square] InWindows Vista, you will not be needing any third party application such as Partition Magic to resize/ split you hard disk partitions without losing any data.
To achieve the best results I recommend backing-up important data (you never know), moving any large files to an extra partition or flash disk, and finally run a defragmentation.

Let me guess, you have a stat of the art ATI graphics card and you are shocked by the corrupted or transparent geometries in “The Sims3” specially the characters hair.
The reason is a malfunction in your graphics card’s “Adaptive anti-aliasing “. Open Catalyst control center and disable “Adaptive anti-aliasing”.
This same features caused a similar problem with Velvet assassin that I discussed before .
You can also read about the ATI driver and some of my thoughts about it here
A new driver is released for almost all recent Radeon display adapters. The following improvements are announced with this new driver
- Company of Heroes – performance improves up to 25% with HD 4600 series products and below as well as improvements of up to 10% on HD 4800 series
- Crysis – performance improves up to 13% in multi-GPU configurations
- Crysis Warhead – performance improves up to 11% in multi-GPU configurations
- World in Conflict – performance improvements of up to 30% can be seen in settings
that were previously CPU limited
Also, some crashes and problems with the CCC has been fixed.
This is all great, but now in a time where AMD (ATI) cards are considered better than their equivalents in nVidia, I think it is time for AMD to stand up for the challenge and fix embarrassing bugs such as:
- 3D graphics corruption in many games with Adaptive anti-aliasing enabled.
- Games crash on minimize and resolution changes.
- funny looking effects.
- Buggy deinterlacing that actually make movies interlaced (scan-line effect)
- V-sinc does not know when to turn on or off
AMD (ATI) must work more with the developers and do more “Best played on Radeon” games. Also it is time to flood the market with DirectX 10.1 games, since no nVidia cards already supports it. and I’m not talking about crappy games such as Stormrise.
Radeon card are strong but I feel that this miss a Strong software support.
what do you think
I got this to use it with my Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz.

Does Shaun White Snowboarding Crashing right after you start it? Do you have Core i7 ? If yes, then please know that the genius behind this Dec-2008 game did not bother to make it compatible with intel core i7.the latest CPU technology. . Thumbs down on this one UBISOFT
You can always go to you boards BIOS and disable Hyperthreading technology. Some claim that it will you allow you to run the game but with very low performance. Me I will never change no bios settings for no game. Period
What about you?
Problem: When Windows Xp starts, the display reverts to a low resolution 16 color mode.
Cause: Generally this is caused by a malfunctioning display adapter driver, I have seen it on built-in VGAs from intel.
Solution: reinstall the display driver, if you still have the same problem, uninstall the VGA driver and do not install a driver for it again, windows will just use software support to display your desktop correctly. but you still wont be able to play games or correctly view movies until you find a working driver and install it.
This is for you if you hear a buzzing sound from your headphones just at the moment when you start a 3D game.
This buzzing sound is caused by your VGA, modern graphic adapters emit a relatively strong noise when processing 3D images. Noting dangerous.
Many newer motherboards such as my Asrock X58 deluxe have the front panel connection just above the first PCI express 2 slot.
When you installed your computer, you must have let the front panel cable rest on top of your VGA (mine is a sapphire 4890 OC). At such a short distance electromagnetic coupling occur (electromagnetic waves are transformed into electrical signals creating a noise).
To reduce\remove this buzzing (humming) sound, make sure to move the front panel cable as far as possible fom the VGA .
You can see it the minute you enter asrock’s website : “Instant Boot: boot up to windows is 4 seconds“. Sounds good for me, but lets look some more into it. First you must use Windows XP or Vista , Have only one User, AND no passwords… hmmmm, I can live with that so lets continue reading.
